Details: IT Security Information and Event Management Analyst  JOB SUMMARY:   This position will support the Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) technologies used by the IT security operations desk for monitoring and responding to cyber security activity across the Southern Company’s telecommunication and data computing infrastructure.  This position works with other business unit SIEM SMEs to ensure the SIEM technologies are integrated and fully utilized as intended in the protection of Southern Company’s cyber related assets.  JOB REQUIREMENTS:  Minimum 4+ years supporting IT infrastructure or Information Security devices 2-4 years of experience in using/supporting Security Information and Event Management products, such as Connectors, Logger, and Enterprise Security Manager (ESM). Hands-on   experience developing & managing use cases and content; Dashboards, Active Channels, Reports, Rules, Filters, Trends, Active Lists, etc. Must have the capability to assess and implement integration strategies for ArcSight ESM and ArcSight appliances. Knowledge of basic networking protocols and addressing schemes, i.e., TCP/IP functions, CIDR blocks, subnets, addressing, communications, etc Substantial working knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows OS Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; ability to solve complex technical issues Strong customer service skills Exhibit initiative, follow-up and follow through with commitments Ability to support and [...]
